Temple's last game finished as a 97-point track meet, a 49-48 shootout loss to Toledo that blew past every number on the board, and that's the defense hosting Army this afternoon. I had Temple's total UNDER two weeks ago against Penn State, and it cashed comfortably, but the Owls have allowed at least 27 points in each game since. Army isn't walking in looking to run up the score; this option offense wants to grind the clock, but even Army's two games this year have finished with 62 and 52 combined points. Between these two teams' five games this season, every one has cleared a number this modest, most by 20 points or more. Temple's defense has been generous enough recently that even a run-first, clock-eating attack like Army's should find enough today, and Temple's own offense has kept pace with everyone it's faced. Two teams playing this loose on defense don't need much push from either side to clear a total this low. Army gets whatever it needs on the ground, and Temple won't sit on a lead against this kind of defense. Take the OVER.
