Old Dominion Monarchs vs UL Lafayette Ragin Cajuns Point Spread Picks

UL Lafayette took a step back after three seasons in which it went 34-5 and the Ragin' Cajuns finished just 6-7, but they have high hopes again this season with Ben Woolridge behind a strong offensive line and they won their opener 38-13 over Northwestern State. Woolridge did not have one of his better games completing just 14 of 32 for 223 yards and three touchdowns and an interception, but UL Lafayette ran for 206 yards and won easily. UL Lafayette did lose last year's leading receiver, Michael Jefferson, along with two other wideouts so it will take time to break in the new ones. UL Lafayette's defense held the Demons to only 187 total yards of offense. Old Dominion has lost seven games in a row following its 36-17 defeat at Virginia Tech and the prospects aren't good for this season with Monarchs returning only nine starters. Quarterback Grant Wilson was the majority of the offense rushing for 81 yards on 19 carries and passing for 94 yards on 13 completions against the Hokies. The Monarchs had to replace three starters on the offensive line this year. The Ragin' Cajuns are 6-1 ATS their past seven games as road favorites of 3.5-10.0 points and Old Dominion is 0-5 ATS its past five home games. The UNDER is 8-1 in the Monarchs' last nine games as underdogs of 3.5-10.0 points and they are 9-1-1 UNDER following a loss.
