Ohio State appears to be on a mission after the Michigan game debacle, as the Buckeyes have torn through their first two opponents in the College Football Playoff. The Buckeyes toyed with the No. 1 team in the nation, destroying Oregon 41-21 with 500 total yards of offense. Will Howard threw three TD passes as Ohio State jumped out to a 34-8 halftime lead. Howard threw for 319 yards with no interceptions, and TreVeyon Henderson made a 66-yard TD run for the Buckeyes, who are 5-2 ATS their past seven games, and they have allowed only 12.9 points per game since the loss to Oregon on Oct. 12. Texas needed double overtime to turn back Arizona State, which allowed a 28-yard TD pass from Quinn Ewers to Matthew Golden on a fourth-and-13 to send the game into a second overtime. Ohio State has won 12 of 14 outright as a favorite and Texas has lost six of its past seven games as an underdog. The Buckeyes are #1 in the country allowing 244.6 yards per game, and #1 in pass defense. The Longhorns' two losses this season both were against Georgia, which held Texas to an average of 17 points per game. The Buckeyes have the defense to match those performances.
