Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs Texas A&M Aggies Point Spread Picks

Notre Dame has had the luxury of two weeks to prepare for this matchup after a tough loss against Miami on Aug. 31. The Fighting Irish are 11-2 ATS their past 13 games, including 5-0 ATS their past five at home. Conversely, Texas A&M is on a 0-7 ATS run and the Aggies are 1-5 ATS against Independents. The Irish have covered five straight against SEC opponents and they are 5-0 ATS following a loss. The Aggies are 0-6 ATS after totaling more than 280 passing yards their previous game and 0-5 ATS after an ATS loss. This will be Texas A&M's toughest test of the young season after victories over UTSA and Utah State. Notre Dame QB CJ Carr went 19-for-30 for 221 yards and two TDs with an interception against the Hurricanes. The Irish won last year's meeting 23-13. They expect to get better production from running backs Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price now that Carr has shown he can keep the defense honest with his passing ability. Texas A&M will have a new playbook on offense to learn with new head coach Mike Elko and new offensive coordinator Collin Klein. There are no concerns for this defense, a deep unit anchored by tackle Shemar Turner, who put the NFL Draft on hold.
