Notre Dame had an obvious letdown after its big overtime win against Florida State and barely beat Toledo 32-29. Otherwise, it was a rough day for Coan, who was sacked six times, threw an interception that was returned for a TD and also fumbled. That doesn't bode well coming into this game as Purdue is off to a great start outscoring opponents 79-21 in its first two games against Oregon State and Connecticut. Jack Plummer completed 16 of 20 for 245 yards and four TDs against the Huskies and David Bell caught six passes for 121 yards and three scores.
