San Jose State is 2-2 on the season, but has a big problem. QB Nick Starkel injured his arm last week and this would be a big blow to the Spartans if he can't go. While I don't think it jeopardizes this game vs a very weak New Mexico State team that is 1-4. The Spartans have totaled just 23 points vs. three FBS teams or 7.7 points per game. It certainly would be difficult with a lackluster offense behind a backup QB regardless of who they are and win by four TDs. New Mexico State is just starting to get comfortable after sitting out all of last season due to Covid-19. The Aggies have covered three of their past four and this looks like too many points. Make the play on New Mexico State.
