The Nevada Wolfpack put one in the win column with a less than resounding effort at home vs. Southern Utah last week. Nevada was better than a 3 TD favorite and didn't have much margin for error. Washington State out-gained Rutgers in their opener, but in the end they could not keep up with the Scarlet Knights in a thrilling 3-point loss. Washington State is almost exclusively going with the pass, and the big difference in this game for them is the fact that strong passing attacks had a lot of success vs. Nevada last season. And against Rutgers, the Cougars passed for 532 yards at 9.5 yards per pass. Nevada simply does not have the defense to hold them down, and at the same time does not possess the offensive weapons to match scores with them as Rutgers did. This is a big step up in class for Nevada after barely squeaking past a far inferior opponent at home, so trouble is looming. The Cougars have come roaring back following an ATS loss where they are 13-2-1 ATS in their last 16, and own a 6-1 ATS record in their last seven on the road. The Wolfpack is just 3-12-1 ATS following a win and have lacked consistency the past couple of years. Play on Washington State.
