Nevada Wolf Pack vs Oregon State Beavers Point Spread Picks

Running the football controls the clock while keeping the chains moving. That's what Oregon State does best behind RBs Anthony Hankerson (485 yards, 4.8 ypc) and Jam Griffin (450 yards, 6.2 ypc). QB Gevani McCoy has thrown just two touchdowns and one pick. The Beavers have won four of five with that formula, including a 21-0 win at San Diego State in their only road game. The oddsmakers have posted a very high total for this matchup even though Nevada managed only 10 points against Vanderbilt last week and the game went UNDER by 8.5 points. The Wolf Pack did score 72 in its opener, but that was against FCS school Portland State. Oregon State got blown out at Ohio State the first week of the season, but then the Beavers settled down and beat Southern Utah 48-25 as a 13.5-point favorite. Wolf Pack quarterback Ty Gangi was 22-of-39 for 216 yards with a touchdowns and two interceptions against the Commodores. Nevada rushed for only 34 yards on 25 carries for a microscopic 1.4 yards per rush. Oregon State is 5-0 UNDER its last five games after scoring at least 40 points in its previous game and 4-1 UNDER after a win of more than 20 points. Also, Nevada is 6-1 UNDER its last seven non-conference games and 39-19 UNDER its last 58 games overall mainly due to high totals such as this one. Take the UNDER.
