Mississippi State Bulldogs vs UL Lafayette Ragin Cajuns Point Spread Picks

It's going to be difficult for Mississippi State to get up for this one as it comes off a big non-conference victory at Kansas State and next week plays its first SEC game at Kentucky, which just beat Florida. The Bulldogs are laying huge points in this matchup and UL-Lafayette is coming off a bye week after demolishing Grambling State 49-17 in its season opener. Billy Napier is in his first year as coach of the Ragin' Cajuns and his quarterback, Andre Nunez, is off to a great start as he was 19-of-22 for 184 yards and two touchdowns with no picks. The Cajuns ran for 315 yards on 7.3 yards per carry as they return nine offensive starters from last year's squad. Of course, UL-Lafayette is making a huge step up in class in this matchup and won't put up those kind of numbers against MSU and we have an inflated posted total. The Ragin' Cajuns have gone UNDER in five of their last seven following an ATS win and Mississippi State has stayed UNDER its last four games dating to last season.
