The biggest surprise so far in the Big 10 and perhaps all of the FBS has been the 6-0 start by the Minnesota Golden Gophers. This is a team that is allowing just 4.9 yards a play on defense, and the passing attack has been elite, generating 11.1 yards per attempt. They should have no problem moving to 7-0 on the season as they take on a poor Rutgers team that has just gotten much worse. Rutgers lost their starting QB for the season and backup QB Artur Sitkowski asked to be red-shirted, as did their other best player RB Raheem Blackshear. That leaves an already bankrupt Rutgers offense that has been shutout three times in five games vs. FBS opponents and scored seven points in another even worse. The defense has allowed 45 points per game in the last three as well. Lay the lumber and play on Minnesota.
