Michigan Wolverines vs Nebraska Cornhuskers Point Spread Picks

This is a huge game for Nebraska and coach Matt Ruhle, who wants to build on last year's 7-6 team and bring the Cornhuskers back to respectability and title contenders at least in the Big Ten. It's also somewhat of a revenge spot as Michigan routed the Huskers 45-7 in 2023, Ruhle's first year in Lincoln. Nebraska has won its past two games against Akron and Houston Christian by a combined score of 127-7. Dylan Raiola completed 15 of 21 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions against HCU, which was held to 159 yards of offense. Michigan destroyed Central Michigan 63-3 after losing 24-13 to Oklahoma the previous week. The Wolverines have gone UNDER in their past four road games, and they are 4-0 UNDER versus teams with winning records. Nebraska has stayed UNDER eight of 10 versus opponents with winning records. This will be another challenging environment for Bryce Underwood after he went 9-for-24 for 142 yards with no TDs at Oklahoma. The Cornhuskers have covered their past four home games, and they are 6-1-1 ATS after allowing fewer than 275 yards in their previous game. Take Nebraska on the moneyline and the UNDER. 

Game of the Month - Michigan has not allowed more than 17 points in any game this season, and it is #6 in scoring defense and #10 in yards allowed. Nebraska has allowed only 15.5 points per game, and it has gone UNDER three of its last four games. The Cornhuskers are also 7-2-1 UNDER dating to last season and 7-0 UNDER as an underdog. The Wolverines have stayed UNDER four of their last six games, although they did manage to go OVER last week against overrated Wisconsin. Nebraska has run up points against FCS Fordham and against Northwestern last week, but the Cornhuskers were stymied against better competition versus Oklahoma and Michigan State. Nebraska remembers the last meeting in 2018 when it was clobbered 56-10, and it will be focused from the start defensively. Nebraska has gone UNDER five straight versus teams with winning records. Nebraska is winless despite playing a pair of home games. Now they head out on the road for the first time in the raucous Big House, no less. Nebraska's two young quarterbacks have combined for three TDs, and three picks. Freshman QB Adrian Martinez is also battling an injury and may not play. The offense is #103 in points per game, and #84 in passing yards. They run into a Michigan defense that is #12 in total yards allowed, #17 against the pass, and #24 in points surrendering just 15.7 points per game. The Wolverines have kept things simple on offense as they entered the season with a new quarterback and an unproven offensive line. The conservative attack is ranked #82 in passing yards, #60 in rushing, and #85 in total yards. All of which means a lower scoring game than the oddsmakers anticipate. Back the UNDER.
