The Miami Hurricanes are a team of great expectations, but since winning 11 games or more in four straight seasons, ending in 2003, the mighty Hurricanes have not posted a 10 win season since that time. And with eight wins coming into this game, thet won't do it this year either. It was an up and down season for the Canes, winning their first four, then losing four straight, and then closing with four wins. The focus on their 0-4 stretch tells the story as they were arguably their toughest games. The eight wins showed them limiting opponents to 15 points per game, while the four losses saw them give up 26.7 points  per game. The offense went for 42.5 points per game in the eight wins, but just 18.7 points per game in the four losses. What it shows is Miami was much better against the average to poor teams, but really struggled against the good ones. West Virginia is solid on both sides of the ball and finished at 10-2. The Mountaineers can post their 11th win for the first time since 2007. The Mounatineers are above average on both sides of the ball, and their pass defense defense is very strong while Miami does not run the ball well.
