Memphis returns eight starters on defense and expects big improvement on that side of the ball with Jonathan Cook anchoring the secondary and Genard Avery doing the same at linebacker. UCLA running back Soso Jamabo missed the last game for an undisclosed reason and is questionable for this one. The Tigers defeated Louisiana Monroe 37-29 in their opener, which wasn't as close as the score indicated as Monroe scored 15 unanswered fourth quarter points. Memphis's game with Central Florida the following week was canceled due to Hurricane Irma. Look for these teams to stay UNDER the total.
