Massachusetts Minutemen vs Tennessee Volunteers Point Spread Picks

UMass joined the FBS back in 2012, and it has been a long struggle for this team to find any kind of respectability since. They have never won more than three games in any season, and have just 10 wins overall. Things have not gotten any better this season as the Minutemen are 0-4 to open 2017. We won't be looking for a win in this one, but getting four TDs vs. what will likely be an unmotivated opponent has some value. The Minutemen are 0-4 but have lost the four games by a combined 31 points. This will be a bigger test, heading into the deeper end of the pool at Tennessee. Tennessee is off a crazy, highly-emotional rivalry game vs. Florida last week in a game they trailed 6-3 entering the fourth quarter, which ended 26-20, as Florida won on a last-second TD pass. They have another SEC rivalry game vs. Georgia on deck, so this is an epic sandwich game. The Vols have also been just 10-17 ATS as a home favorite in their last 27. I think the interest level is low here, so I like UMass to sneak in UNDER a lofty number.
