Marshall Thundering Herd vs Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Marshall blasted Norfolk State 55-3 and the game still went UNDER for the fifth UNDER in the past seven games for the Thundering Herd, who allowed only 24 points per game last year. The Spartans were held to only 31 yards rushing and 84 passing yards while Marshall ran 51 times for 380 yards as second-year coach Charles Huff has always favored the running game. Notre Dame's defense was the reason the Fighting Irish kept it close against Ohio State as their offense had trouble generating anything either on the ground or through the air and the game went UNDER by 27.5 points. Irish QB Tyler Buchner was only 10 of 18 for 177 yards and no TDs and his team managed only 76 yards on 30 carries.
