Marshall plays its home opener after getting ripped at Georgia, 45-7. Marshall is rebuilding everywhere under first-year coach Tony Gibson. Syracuse transfer QB Carlos Del Rio-Wilson was expected to be the starter, but they went with redshirt freshman QB JacQai Long in the opener. There are also new linebackers who lack experience.
