LSU Tigers vs USC Trojans Point Spread Picks

USC had a disappointing 8-5 season in 2023 and the defense clearly was the main culprit as even No. 1 draft pick Caleb Williams often couldn't overcome it while his team scored 42 points per game. The good news for the Trojans is they hired D'Anton Lynn as their new defensive coordinator. Lynn coached one year at UCLA and the Bruins improved from #87 in total defense to #11. He is the son of of former Los Angeles Chargers coach Anthony Lynn. Miller Moss is the new starting QB for USC and he will have a talented offensive line although with not much experience. Garrett Nussmeier is in a similar situation as he takes over for Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels at LSU and the Tigers also have a new defensive coordinator in Blake Baker, formerly at Missouri. USC has won outright four of its past five games against SEC opponents and the Trojans have won eight straight September games. Look for two improved defenses and evenly matched teams.
