LSU Tigers vs UL Monroe Warhawks Point Spread Picks

UL Monroe was looking as if it had made much improvement over last season's 0-10 record, but the Warhawks now have lost three in a row and their record has fallen to 4-6 on the season and 3-6-1 ATS. Monroe hasn't covered any of its last three games that included a 59-28 blowout loss at Appalachian State. The Warhawks are #122 in the country in yards allowed while giving up 35.4 points per game. LSU is ready to break out with a big win after coming close against Alabama and then losing in overtime to Arkansas. Garrett Nussmeier threw for 179 yards and a touchdown but with two picks against the Razorbacks. UL Monroe is 0-5 ATS its last five road games, 3-8 ATS its last 11 November games and 3-7 ATS its past 10 as an underdog. The Tigers are 7-3-1 ATS following a loss and 7-3 ATS their past 10 non-conference games. LSU allowed only a combined 36 points against two good offensive teams in Alabama and Arkansas and Monroe will be fortunate to get much of anything on the board. Play LSU. 

How many times have you seen a 2-0 team take the field as a 31-point or so underdog? UL Monroe will get a chance to do so when they head to in-state foe LSU. All you have to do is look at last week and see that they needed a score at home in the last 10 seconds to beat a brutal Idaho team, and to top that off, the Vandals hung 31 on them. Uh oh! The Bayou Bengals are once again a top 10 team, and will be loaded for bear for this one as usual. Sam Houston State got a taste of the Death Valley atmosphere last week in a 56-0 thrashing. All you have to do is look at the resumes the last eight FBS teams have created in their trips into the bayou. They collectively lost by a combined score of 346-83. Oh, by the way, one of those was this UL Monroe team. They were beaten 51-0. It is also worth noting that none of those eight teams came within 32 points of LSU. Pretty simple - play on LSU.
