Kansas State Wildcats vs Tulane Green Wave Point Spread Picks

Last year these teams met in September and Tulane came out with a 17-10 road win. That game was a lot bigger than it appeared at the time, but both teams came out ranked at the end of the season. This year the Wildcats have a QB that has been limited to three starts in his career and has not thrown for 200+ yards in any of them. Avery Johnson should add to the Kansas St. running game, as he has proven to be a good runner. Darian Mensah surprisingly won the starting QB job, despite no experience coming in. Tulane has a solid defense and is off a shutout in the opener. Both these teams are going to have conservative game plans, to not expose their passing liabilities, and run the ball. I look for a similar result as last tear's 17-10 game. Defense rules the day. Make the play on the UNDER. 

Tulane has had a cupcake schedule so far, but nevertheless the Green Wave have won their first two games by a combined score of 94-10 over Massachusetts and Alcorn State and both games surprisingly stayed UNDER. Tulane is 6-1 UNDER its past seven games and returns eight defensive starters from the 2021 squad. QB Michael Pratt has totaled 482 passing yards with a 70.7 percent completion rate with five touchdowns and no interceptions this season. Tulane is on a mission after going 0-5 in one-score games last year. Kansas State blew out Missouri 40-12 and the Wildcats have gone UNDER seven of their past nine games. They didn't do much through the air, but Deuce Vaughn rushed for 145 yards on 24 carries against the Tigers. QB Adrian Martinez was only 9 of 20 for 101 yards and no TDs. Tulane is 9-4 ATS its last 13 non-conference games and Kansas State is 3-7 ATS following an ATS win. Also, Tulane has covered five of seven September games and it is 6-1 ATS its past seven games overall dating to last season.
