Jacksonville St. Gamecocks vs UL Lafayette Ragin Cajuns Point Spread Picks

Jacksonville State is surprised to be in a bowl game because it was ineligible as it transitions into being an FBS school, but there weren't enough bowl eligible teams so the Gamecocks were invited to the New Orleans Bowl. UL Lafayette made it into the postseason with a third-string quarterback after Ben Wooldridge and Zeon Chriss were injured. Chandler Fields is now the QB and he has thrown seven touchdowns and three interceptions in four games, but the Cajuns have won only once in that span. Jacksonville State allows only 2.8 yards per carry and it's questionable if the Ragin' Cajuns can take advantage with a passing game. The Gamecocks allow only 20.3 points per game compared to 28.2 for UL Lafayette, which has gone UNDER four of five bowl games as an underdog.
