Howard Bison vs Rutgers Scarlet Knights Point Spread Picks

The Rutgers Scarlett Knights will open their season at home vs. the Howard Bison. Howard finished at 6-6 a year ago, which included a three point loss to Northwestern. The Bison bring back RB Jarret Hunter who scored nine TDs last season as well as catching 26 passes out of the backfield. Hunter was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Preseason Offensive Player of the Year last month. Eden James also returns to the backfield for Howard. James rushed for 627 yards on 111 carries with two touchdowns in 2023. The Bison appear to have more offensive punch, than defense. Rutgers landed Dymere Miller. Miller broke multiple records at the FCS level but now has a big chance to prove himself in the Big Ten.Rutgers brought in Minnesota transfer quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis. He should be a strong compliment to the well stocked Rutgers backfield. I think both teams are going to be better offensively and I like the OVER in this one.
