Hawaii got a big game from its defense in a narrow 16-13 loss to UCLA. It's encouraging because it verified their defense on a higher level opponent after allowing just 14 to FCS Delaware St. This is from a team that allowed 41 or more points in five games a year ago. They also allowed 35 or more points in eight games. Through two games they have allowed just 30 points. Sam Houston St. scored just 14 points to Central Florida while giving up 45. I think credit goes to Hawaii's defense which is vastly improved from last season when they couldn't stop anyone. Wrong team favored here; make the play on Hawaii (moneyline).
