Georgia State Panthers vs Tennessee Volunteers Point Spread Picks

Georgia State stepped up once last season, playing NC State of the ACC. They allowed 41 points and 541 yards. They lost 10 games in 2018 as the defense was awful, #126 in yards allowed (490 per game), #124 in rush defense, surrendering 251 yards on the ground per contest, and 37.4 points per game. It won't get any easier in Week 1 heading to the SEC to face Tennessee. Tennessee's new offensive coordinator Jim Chaney did wonders at Georgia and he inherits a good QB in Jarrett Guarantano (12 TDs, 3 picks in 2018). The wide receiver corps is stocked behind speedy senior Marquez Callaway, Jauan Jennings, and Josh Palmer. The Vols put up 59 points on East Tennessee State last September at home and have more than enough to put up plenty of points in this opener. Play the OVER.
