Troy's offense struggled again, losing 23-14 at South Carolina, and the Trojans have gone UNDER four games in a row by an average of 14.25 points. The Troy defense, though, is #5 in the country allowing 17.0 points per game, but it will be hard-pressed to stop an Eagles running attack that averages 287.4 yards. Taylor Powell completed only 19 of 35 passes for 136 yards and no touchdowns with 2 interceptions for Troy against the Gamecocks. This is a high posted total even though Georgia Southern has allowed an average of only 15.5 points its last four games and two of those went into overtime. The Eagles handed Appalachian State its first loss of the season at 24-21 and it held the Mountaineers to seven points the first three quarters.
