Georgia Bulldogs vs TCU Horned Frogs Point Spread Picks

Georgia and TCU both uncharacteristically gave up a ton of points in the semifinals, but look for them to make some defensive adjustments with the National Championship on the line. The Bulldogs will have to contend with TCU's 3-3-5 defense that resulted in two interceptions against Michigan, and the Horned Frogs are #20 in the country in turnover margin. Georgia finished the regular season #9 in total yards allowed and #2 in scoring defense with 12.8 per game. Georgia's two-tight end set is questionable as Darnell Washington is suffering from an ankle injury he suffered against Ohio State and that is a key part of the Bulldog offense. TCU has allowed an average of 12.2 points and Georgia only seven points in the first half this season. TCU has gone UNDER four of its past five after allowing at least 450 total yards its previous game. Look for a lower-scoring first two quarters as Stetson Bennett and Max Duggan get a feel for the opposing defenses. I found a little extra value on the overreaciton to the semifinals in terms of the games total. I think the nerves are going to make scoring more scarce in first half vs. second half where nerves will be settled, where things will start opening up. Play the First-Half to stay UNDER.
