Fresno State Bulldogs vs Houston Cougars

HAWAII BOWL - Fresno State was 1-11 last year, but 16 returning starters offered hope and the Bulldogs rallied to end the season at 9-4. Fresno State was all about defense, and held opponents to over 50 yards fewer than their season average on the season. They allowed more than 21 points in just three games all season. Houston had to replace Greg Ward, one of the top QBs in the country from last year. The Cougars' offense struggled much of the year, and ended up trying three different starters at the position. The Cougars had a top 40 defense, but the offense could not carry its weight, finishing #78 in the country. Both defenses have an edge against their opponents offense in this one, and in the 23 lined games these teams played on the season, 18 of them fell short of the total. I expect more of the same here, play on the UNDER.
