Miami will take on that other Miami school in Florida International. The game will be played at Marlins Park in Miami. That may be the only thing these schools have in common. Miami has by far played the tougher schedule and comes into this game with advantages, and big ones in all three levels which include special teams. FIU us 4-6 to a weak schedule and has lost two of their last three games by 30+ points to Middle Tennessee and FAU. The Hurricanes are playing their best football of the year right now. Miami has played three games outside the conference and allowed 36 total points, and 24 of those came against Florida. The Canes have scored fewer than three points in 7 of their 10 games. Florida International has allowed just 26 ppg on the season, so they can at least offer some resistance. I think Miami will need to put up 40+ in this one to send it over the total and with a lot of garbage time, I don't see them getting there. Take the UNDER.

If Miami is going to make a run at an ACC title, they are going to have to get season long results from their defense. The Hurricanes' stop-unit looks to be one of the best in the country as they are allowing opponents just 3.9 yards per play. FIU has had success moving the ball, but their best defending opponent held them to just over 300 total yards, and I think they will be hard pressed to get more than 225 here. This team has not seen a team of this caliber in many years, and certainly none of the players in the field, so the speed, strength and size is going to give them all sorts of problems on offense. I would not be surprised if they are held to under 10 points or less. Play on the UNDER.
