The Duke football program was once upon a time the worst in what are now known as Power 5 Conferences. They won 19 games from 1996-2007, but have finished with a winning record in four of their last five seasons and have started 1-0. Last year the Duke defense was arguably the best it has ever been, allowing 20.2 points per game, and finished playing 9-of-13 to the UNDER. Last week they impressed, holding Army to 168 rushing yards on 47 carries. The last non-military school to hold Army under 170 rushing yards in a game was Duke last year, so the defense appears to be a strength once again. Northwestern won 10 games last year following a similar path, as the Wildcats allowed just 20.1 ppg, and just 13.4 ppg over their last five. I think both of these teams have a lot more talent on the defensive side of the ball, and in a game that could go either way, defensive intensity should rule the day. Take the UNDER.
