They won their opener in unimpressive fashion, but for this program a win is a win. Last year they gave the Rams all they could handle, losing by just two points, and were out-gained by just six yards, and all this despite losing the turnover battle. The game would have gone to overtime if not for a safety against UTSA, when they were penalized in their own end-zone. Needless to say they have been poor on both sides of the ball, and the team has to be mentally fatigued right now from the lack of success. The Rams schedule hasn't been exactly easy, and they could actually be 3-0 instead of 1-2, as they lost a pair of overtime games to Colorado and Minnesota, a pair of pretty good teams.
