Colorado State had a huge season last year, but it did cost them their coach. Also departing is a stellar QB, and their top running back. This year it will be a new system for a new QB, and many think the drop-off could be substantial. One thing about a big winning season is it offers a chance for depth to be built, and new QB Nick Stevens has picked up the offense very quickly. The defense, which was top notch a year ago, should be very good again, especially the back seven. Minnesota seems to not be able to get over the top in the rugged Big-10, and last year may have been their best chance. They have had massive departures on the offensive end, but the defense could be remarkably good. This projects to be a very tight game, and while the Minnesota defense will have the most influence on the game, it's tough to lay nearly a TD with an offense that is going to have a rough go early on.
