Colorado has been dreadful on offense scoring 13 points against TCU and 10 versus Air Force. The ground attack has averaged 3.7 yards per carry while sophomore QBs J.T. Shrout and Brendon Lewis have combined for one TD and interception. Shrout has played the most and has a 40.9 completion percentage. College football teams like Colorado that have surrendered 31+ points in two consecutive contests are 61-26 UNDER the total against an opponent that has scored 37+ points in two straight games. Minnesota won nine games last season behind an elite defense and returns 7 defensive starters. That defense was in the Top 10 in scoring (17.3 points per game allowed) and total 'D' (278.8 yards per game). They're allowing 5 points per game in 2022. The offense has a new coordinator revamping what was one of the worst in the nation last year. Thus far, they have one TD pass in two games. The Gophers are about running the pigskin (604 yards, 5.5 ypc), which chews up yards and the clock. Minnesota is 23-9 UNDER the total after scoring 24+ points in the first half of the last game and the Gophers shut out Colorado last year, 30-0. Back Colorado/Minnesota UNDER the total.

Minnesota at Colorado
Minnesota rebounded from a loss to Ohio State to defeat Miami University, 31-26, and the good news for the Golden Gophers is that they appear to have found a solid replacement for Mohamed Ibrahim, who is out for the season, in running back Treyson Potts. He racked up 178 yards rushing on 34 carries with two touchdowns last game. Colorado couldn't do much of anything offensively while losing to Texas A&M, 10-7, and freshman Brendon Lewis managed only 89 passing yards on 13 of 25 with no TDs and an interception. Lewis actually was the Buffaloes' leading rusher with 76 yards on nine carries. The rushing attack carried the Buffaloes in their opener against Northern Colorado, but they'll be in trouble if they can't get the ground game going against tougher competition. Minnesota has coverd six of seven as a road underdog, and the Gophers are 19-4-4 their last 27 games after an ATS loss and 8-3 ATS following a straight up win. Also, Colorado is 3-9 ATS after a loss. Play Minnesota for a Max Play.
