Central Florida had a strong offense behind an NFL caliber QB, but this team is always strong on the defensive end and once again that will be the team's strength. Central Florida also lost three key offensive lineman, so a new QB behind a rebuilt line should have them struggling early. The good news is that eight defenders return from a team that allowed just 21.3 points per game last season. Penn State is on their third coaching staff in four years. They have solid players at QB and the skill positions, but lost four offensive linemen, and a couple more went down in the spring, so it may take some time to gel. The defense struggled last year, but came together late in the season, and with seven returning, they should improve.
