Central Florida Knights vs LSU Tigers Point Spread Picks

FIESTA BOWL - Central Florida once again comes into a Bowl game undefeated after being spurned by the national playoff committee. That alone gives the Knights all the motivation they need to come out on top in this one. However, it won't be easy against an LSU defense that allows only 20.9 points per game and that is skewed by the bizarre 74-72 seven-overtime loss to Texas A&M in November. The Tigers are #30 in the country in yards allowed (346.1 per game) and #23 in points allowed. UCF's underrated defense is #24, giving up 21.2 points per game and it's #34 in pass defense. The Knights' star quarterback McKenzie Milton is out for the year following a gruesome injury and Darriel Mack took over and threw for 348 yards against defenseless Memphis. However, the Tigers will present a much tougher test for the freshman quarterback. Central Florida has gone UNDER in eight of its 12 games this season, including seven of its last nine games. The UNDER is 6-0 when the Knights come off a game in which they scored at least 40 points, and the UNDER is 8-0-1 in UCF's last nine games against an SEC team. LSU has stayed UNDER in five of its last seven Bowl games and seven of its last 10 overall after an ATS win. Back the UNDER.
