Coastal Carolina is a new FBS team, but the Chanticleers have been a top defensive team the last several years in FCS play. The team returns six defensive starters from a squad that allowed only 19 points per game last season and in the two previous years the team gave up an average of just 20 points per contest. Offensively, the Chanticleers aren't quite so settled as they were forced to use eight quarterbacks in 2016 due to injuries. Tyler Keane started against Massachusetts and was only 9-of-17 for 78 yards as his team used a lot of clock running for 321 yards on 47 carries, which bodes well for an UNDER play in this game. UAB returns to play after a two-year self-imposed absence and obviously is rebuilding. A.J. Erdely is the starting quarterback and a JUCO transfer and he was 15-of-24 for 168 yards with no touchdowns against Ball State last Saturday. Take the UNDER.
