The Chanticleers had totaled only 20 points their first three games before defeating South Alabama 38-20 on Sept. 20. They are 1-8 ATS after scoring more than 35 points and 0-5 ATS their past five games against teams with winning records. The Chanticleers are 3-7 ATS as underdogs dating to last season. This team lost their best QB, and many of their good players after a four-year run that saw them go 39-12. This is not a good spot for Coastal Carolina as a team that starts the season at 3-0 and losses and now playing as a home favorite fail to cover over 55% of the time. These teams may not be even in terms of their records entering this game, but Coastal Carolina is getting the benefit of having gone 39-12 the last four years, and this team is not that caliber.
