BYU Cougars vs Utah Utes Point Spread Picks

This year's matchup will return to a lower-scoring affair as BYU returns eight starters from a defense that was #18 in the country. Utah returns seven on defense and has an especially talented secondary. BYU went UNDER in four of its last six games and allowed an average of only 21 points on the season while scoring 27 per game. Zach Wilson returns after becoming the youngest quarterback ever to start at BYU and he threw for 1,578 yards with 12 touchdowns and three interceptions. However, Utah has a solid defensive line and the Cougars running game is suspect as Lopini Katoa was the leading rusher last year with only 423 yards. The Utes return only two on their offensive line and quarterback Tyler Huntley is returning after missing the Bowl game with a broken collarbone.
