BYU Cougars vs Michigan State Spartans

It has been a tough start to the season for both BYU and Michigan State. Sparty has been 36-5 SU over the last three years and have already dropped two of their four games this season, while one of those wins was vs. Furman. They still have to play Michigan and Ohio State, so this season is not going to be like the last three. This has been a team with a big defense, and an above average offense, but thus far they have proven to be very ordinary. BYU has had to overcome injuries, but are as healthy a team as they have been in a couple of years. The schedule has already featured Utah, UCLA, Arizona, West Virginia, and Toledo. While they are just 2-3 on the season, none of those five teams has beaten this Cougars team by more than three points, and this is a team that wasn't fully healthy early. BYU has shown a strong running game at 5.4 yards per carry vs. teams that average allowing just 4.5. I think that is the biggest edge here, and a weapon in a close game. Make the play on BYU.
