Boston College Coach Steve Addazio has always built his offenses behind a strong running game and they have a star in sophomore RB A.J. Dillon. The quarterback position is still a weak spot, rotating three signal callers in two games. After rolling over a pair of cupcakes in UMass and Holy Cross the offense finally faces a real defense in this ACC opener. BC's strength is on defense again, with DE Zach Allen possessing NFL talent, anchoring a strong front line and linebacking corps. Both offenses have less time to prepare, moving this game up because of Hurricane Florence, the first road game for BC. The Eagles are 39-18-3 UNDER the total in conference games, as well as 36-15-2 UNDER on the road, including 37-18-2 UNDER away against a team with a winning home record. Wake Forest also has concerns at quarterback with freshman Sam Hartman throwing four TDs and three interceptions through the first two games. Wake is 7-3 UNDER the total when following a victory.
