Boston College lost a tough one on Saturday when Al-Shadee Salaam scored on a 22-yard run for Rutgers with 2:43 left and the extra point gave the Scarlet Knights a 22-21 win over the Eagles. Phil Jurkovec had an uneven performance for the Eagles completing 23 of 41 for 283 yards and three touchdowns, but with two interceptions and his team could not run the ball finishing with 29 rushing yards and the game stayed UNDER by 3.5 points. Boston College now has stayed UNDER eight of its past nine games and the defense returns eight starters from a squad that allowed 22 points per game in 2021. Virginia Tech stayed UNDER by 11.5 points in its 20-17 loss to Old Dominion and the Hokies are just 3-9 ATS their last 12 games and their offense doesn't look much better than Boston College's as QB Grant Wells threw four picks and went 21-for-36 for 193 yards and the Hokies had 14 penalties against the Monarchs.
