Army Black Knights vs C. Carolina Chanticleers Point Spread Picks

It has been a mega ride for Coastal Carolina. The Chanticleers are 22-3 over the last two years, and things will certainly be a lot more challenging this season as a lot of that talent has departed. QB Grayson McCall headlines the returning starters, but he is just one of six that will return. He should keep the offense moving, but the bigger issue will be the defense. Coastal Carolina lost nine players on the defensive side of the ball. This is going to be a problem early in the season, so their opening game vs. an unconventional Army offense that requires great discipline to play, is going to be a serious challenge for them. The group is inexperienced, and I can see Army ripping off some big gainers out of their triple-option offense. I think if this game was later in the year, I'd have a different feeling about things, but a young and inexperienced offense going against the triple-option in game one is a bit much to ask. Make the play on Army.
