Iowa State is riding high with a 3-0 record and huge wins over Kansas State and last week against Iowa when Kyle Konrardy kicked a 54-yard field goal with 1:52 left that put the Cyclones ahead to stay as they defeated the Hawkeyes 16-13. Rocco Becht did not have one of his most prolific performances, but it was enough as he was 18 of 27 for 134 yards and a TD with no picks. The Hawkeyes were held to 83 passing yards and Mark Gronkowski was sacked twice on Iowa's last possession. Iowa State is 5-0-1 ATS its past six games after allowing fewer than 275 yards its previous game, 4-0-1 ATS its past five non-conference games. Arkansas State is 1-5 ATS its past six against teams with winning records and 2-4 ATS overall as an underdog. Iowa State demolished the Red Wolves 52-7 last year while covering as a 20.5-point favorite. Arkansas State has to play a top-20 team for the second straight week. They come off a 28-18 loss to Michigan, although they allowed 301 rushing yards (6.8 ypc) and trailed 28-3 before a couple of late scores. They also stepped up to play Oklahoma last September and lost 73-0, and two years ago lost 45-12 to Ohio State.
