After a decade and a half of solid seasons, the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles have fallen on hard times. Southern Miss went through a painful season a year ago where they did not taste the thrill of victory, finishing the campaign at 0-12. While there is nowhere to go but up, the Eagles have yet to sniff a win again this year through two games, despite a very winnable game at home to open the season vs. Texas State. Southern Miss has already committed 10 turnovers on the season. They now have to try and go into the SEC and be competitive vs. Arkansas.
