Florida comes into this game at 5-3, but they have three TEs and three WRs on the injury list. They were ripped apart in their biggest game vs Georgia the last time out 43-20. What complicates matters is the defense is thin and worn out and the Gators have allowed 32 PPG in their last four. A competent offense that has a lot of injuries will make things difficult as the defense is weak by SEC standards. Arkansas does not appear to be very threatening as they have lost six straight games, but before you toss this team aside, five of the six losses have come by seven points or fewer, and they have covered three of their last four as a dog. They are catching Florida at the right time as they are off their rivalry game with Georgia and have a lot of injury issues. Florida is 4-8 ATS in their last 12 after Georgia. The Florida Gators have relied on their defense the last several years, and this year they may have their best. The Gators are off to a 6-1 start, and lead the SEC East. They could could find themselves in the SEC Championship, and a potential playoff spot for the National Championship, but there is work to do. While the offense is mediocre, the defense is going to be problematic for the Razorbacks. Arkansas has not been able to run the ball at all, but do have a good passing attack. The probelm is thatthe Gators' secondary is among the best in the nation, allowing teams that average 6.8 yards per attempt to generate just 5.4. The Gators have allowed just one first half TD all season. Overall, they allow just 11.7 points per game, and have held six of their seven opponents to 14 points or less. Arkansas was totally derailed on both sides of the ball last week, and did not get into the end-zone in a 56-3 loss to Auburn. They may not get into the end-zone in this one, and the Gators offense just isn't built for scoring 40+. Play on the UNDER.
