Arizona State Sun Devils vs Texas A&M Aggies Point Spread Picks

Arizona State is coming off a strong campaign and brings a talented defense into the opener. The defense returns three starters in the secondary and is led by safety Jordan Simone and cornerback Lloyd Carrington who was an honorable mention All-Pac 12 pick last season. They can also pound the football with RB D.J. Foster to keep it out of the hands of the Texas A&M up-tempo offense. A&M Coach Kevin Sumlin is a terrific recruiter and has upgraded his defense for 2015 with most of the key returning starters back, plus some talented freshmen coming in. In addition, Sumlin brings in respected defensive coordinator John Chavis from LSU for $1.7 million per year to improve the defense. With all the defensive upgrades, plus the fact that defenses are often ahead of the offenses in week one, this total is too high. Play this one UNDER the total.
