California is 2-2 with the wins coming against North Texas and Idaho and the Golden Bears were routed by Washington 59-32 last week when Michael Penix Jr. took apart their defense and went 19-for-25 for 304 yards and four TDs. That kind of defense is not conducive to covering double-digit point spreads and the Bears have lost nine of their past 12 games outright. Take Arizona State.
