App State Mountaineers vs Michigan Wolverines Point Spread Picks

Last year Michigan started strong at 5-0 and everyone thought they were headed for one of those Michigan seasons we grew accustomed to not all that long ago. The signs were there, however, that they might be heading for trouble. They needed a come-from-behind win at UConn, who lost their first nine games, and a goal line stand against a miserable Akron team. When the dust settled, 5-0 finished 2-6 in their last eight games. Appalachian State is making the jump to the FBS. This is a storied program rich in history, but UMass, Western Kentucky and others, often struggle when taking on the next level. This is not the same team that was dominating FBS just a few years back, nor is it the same caliber team that shocked the world by beating this same Michigan team. Michigan will be out for redemption here, and you can be sure that Brady Hoke will remind his team of the ill-fated experience several years ago, as well as the UConn and Akron games from last season. I think this one is going to be brutally ugly, so I will lay the bundle and play on Michigan.
