Alabama Crimson Tide vs S. Miss Golden Eagles Point Spread Picks

Alabama often has some serious cupcakes on their schedule, but who can blame them for playing out of the SEC, especially while breaking in a new QB. But under Nick Saban, the Tide  continues to roll. The Tide seldom gives up any points at home when facing cupcakes, and last week they held a 41-0 lead before a thunderstorm shortened the game by 8 minutes. Southern Mississippi was once an annual Bowl team, but has fallen hard and fast. This team will be hard-pressed to score a single point in this game. Add to the fact that a defense that is also a liability, Saban, and his Alabama offense should score at will. Once upon a time the Golden Eagles were spread mavens, but this is a new and woeful team, one that has left behind a 6-21-1 ATS mark in their last 28 games. I'm not sure if any line would give Southern Miss an edge here, but as big as this one is it simply isn't enough. Make the play on Alabama.
