VMI, not to long ago, was noted for the way they played, which was run and gun and take as many 3s as possible. That led to a lot of extremely high scoring games by this team. That has changed dramatically, and I don't see an equal reaction by the odds makers here. Their game vs. Richmond was anything but a shootout as the teams combined for a total of just 110 shots. In fact, it was well below average. The problem is the total is high and the Keydets simply aren't playing tempo anymore and are shooting in the 30s their first two games out of the gate, and that will likely not improve vs. a more talented Virginia Tech team. These teams met each of the last two2 years when VMI was a bit more aggressive offensively and the games averaged just 144.5 total points. Make the play on the UNDER.
