This is going to be an interesting early-season tournament, with a field of eight very solid teams. VCU will take on Syracuse and everyone knows that Syracuse will play 40 minutes of tough zone defense. You have to look at the eye-opening stats on the other side as well. VCU has not played a game yet that has seen the total points scored top the 111 mark. Their offense has been awful, but their defense has really carried the load. Both these teams play at a slower than average pace, and they each have disruptive tendencies on defense. Add in the players trying to get used to the shooting background at a neutral site, and I like this one to play UNDER the total.
