South Alabama Jaguars vs UNLV Runnin' Rebels Point Spread Picks

UNLV has a new coach in Marvin Menzies, who went through a whirlwind recruting process after he was hired in the spring following Chris Beard's abrupt change of heart after he signed on as coach. The Runnin' Rebels have already played five exhibition games, including three in the Bahamas in the summer, so there is some team chemistry even with mostly new players. UNLV will probably start three guards, Jalen Poyser, Kris Clyburn and Uche Ofoegbu, and two forwards in Tyrell Green and Christian Jones. South Alabama returns three double-digit scorers, including guard Ken Williams, who averaged 15.5 points per game last season and Georgi Boyanov, who averaged 10.4 points per contest and shot 50.5 percent from the field.
